  24. One of the best ways to pick up HyperCard techniques is to see how other's have implemented stacks.  Unfortunately, scripts aren't always readily accessible.

  26. Here's how to see the scripts in stacks that have their user level set too low, or in stacks without menu bars (such as the Intro stack that comes with HyperCard):

  28. If the menu bar isn't showing:
  29.   1. Press Command-M to bring up the message box.
  30.   2. Select any message currently showing there.
  31.   3. Type "show menubar" (without the quotes) and press return.
  32.  
  33. If short menus are showing ("Protect Stack" item missing), hold down Command while you drop the file menu.
  34.  
  35. Choose Protect Stack from the File menu.
  36.  
  37. If you're prompted for a password, buy a Cray so you can test various possibilities.  (You'll have to hook the Cray to the Mac keyboard socket.)

  39. If you get a Protect Stack dialog box, change the user level to Scripting.
